The “Drawn to Nature” exhibit showcases Carleen Ormbrek Zimmerman’s nature journals, highlighting how field sketching and journaling deepen our connection to the natural world and inviting visitors to explore their own creativity through observation and art.
A Conservation Win at Volunteer Park: Seattle Asian Art Museum Takes Action to Save Birds
After discovering high rates of bird-window collisions at the newly expanded Seattle Asian Art Museum, community scientists with the Seattle Bird Collision Monitoring Project alerted museum staff, who responded swiftly by installing bird-safe window film. This proactive collaboration will prevent hundreds of bird deaths and highlights the power of community-driven conservation.
