Our Work
Birds Connect Seattle puts our mission into action through both urban and regional initiatives, designed to inspire appreciation, understanding, and protection of birds within and beyond our local community.
Urban Conservation
Birds Connect Seattle’s urban conservation programs aim to reduce hazards that contribute to bird mortality including collisions with buildings, reduced habitat quality and connectivity, pollution, and free-roaming cats. Get involved in conservation.
Regional Initiatives
The reach of many Birds Connect Seattle programs, especially those for science and conservation, extends beyond the boundaries of the greater Seattle area. Read more about our regional initiatives.
Strategic Plan
The Birds Connect Seattle Board of Directors approved a new 2024-2027 strategic plan in July of 2024. This plan, “Spreading Our Wings,” firmly roots us in our values, expands our network through inclusive programming and streamlined operations, resulting in capacity growth in order to better serve the birds and people who call Seattle home.
