What Folks Are Saying
“We had a wonderful time on the Methow Valley birding vacation hosted by Birds Connect Seattle. Neil and Ed were amazing field guides with a trove of birding and nature knowledge to share. Meanwhile, Sarah was a fantastic trip coordinator who ensured that all of our travel, activities, and meals ran smoothly. I also really appreciated how well-accommodated I was as someone with a dietary restriction (gluten free). The entire trip was so much fun, and not only did we leave with lots of memorable birding experiences, we even made some new friends! I’d highly recommend these vacations to anyone, and am really excited to attend my next one!”
-Brooke Herrick, Methow Valley and Orcas Island participant
“I was fortunate to be able to attend my first Birding Vacation through BCS earlier this year and it was a wonderfully rewarding experience over the 3 days of the trip. The sites we visited were carefully selected to reveal a great variety of habitats and bird species, providing a tremendous opportunity for learning. The guides leading the trip were very knowledgeable about these areas and it showed! The food and lodging experience were also excellent and it was fun to interact with the other participants at the end of each day. I’m looking forward to participating in another one of these trips soon!”
-Bob Fukura, Semiahmoo and Orcas Island participant
“I was lucky enough to go on the three day birding trip to Whidbey Island, Skagit and Whatcom counties. We saw an incredible amount and diversity of birds (and some marine mammals) thanks to our expert guides Neil and Roniq; the sites we stopped at were beautiful; food, lodging and logistics were excellent thanks to Sarah’s coordination; everyone on the trip was interesting and even though I went by myself, I immediately felt welcomed and included. And best of all I had a lot of fun while significantly improving my birding skills. Can’t wait to go on another trip!”
