Welcome to the Flock, Andres and Megan
On September 11, 2022, we welcomed two new members to the Seattle Audubon Board of Directors, Andres Hiltbrunner and Megan Ko. In addition to serving on the board, they will also be joining the Finance Committee. They both bring with them a love and appreciation for birds and nature.
The board plays a vital role in ensuring Seattle Audubon has the strategic direction and necessary resources to fulfill our mission to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive. Megan and Andres each bring their unique set of skills, talents, and experiences to our existing group of passionate and committed board members. We’re grateful for their willingness to serve!

Andres Hiltbrunner
Member at Large
Andres has lived in the Pacific Northwest, off and on, since 2006. He is a finance professional, having recently left a 15-year career at Amazon where he led teams focused on global cash management and banking infrastructure. Andres discovered both birding and livable, walkable cities while living temporarily in Europe, and is excited to be on the board to help sustain and defend those things here at home. When not in front of a computer, he enjoys hiking with his dog and baking.

Megan Ko
Treasurer
Megan has always lived in cities, from Dallas and Des Moines to Shanghai and Hong Kong. For her, peace comes from making cities home to all species. Megan works in local government and lives in South Seattle. She holds an advanced degree in public administration and is a certified fraud examiner.
Board Recruitment
Are you someone looking to give back to your community in support of local conservation efforts? Would you like to learn more about nonprofits and how they operate? We welcome you to apply for service on the Seattle Audubon Board of Directors to expand your professional network, join us in becoming an antiracist organization, and grow your leadership skills.
We are actively recruiting board members with specific experience in real estate, law, and human resources to join our board in early 2023.
Please email governance@seattleaudubon.org to discuss your experience and next steps.
