We’re pleased to welcome two new members to the Seattle Audubon Board of Directors, Anthony Floyd and Katie Amrhein. The board plays a vital role in ensuring Seattle Audubon has the strategic direction and necessary resources to fulfill our mission to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive. Anthony and Katie are each bringing their unique set of skills, talents, and experiences to our existing group of passionate and committed board members. We’re grateful for their willingness to serve!

He holds a doctorate in Sociology from Stanford University.

Katie Amrhein

Katie Amrhein

Katie is a long-time conservationist and lover of all things furry and feathery. She spent many hours visiting The Seattle Audubon Nature Shop as a child, hanging out with her grandfather George Johnson, the store’s longtime volunteer manager. Katie currently works as the Education Programs Manager at the PAWS Companion Animal Shelter and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. She has over ten years of experience developing, teaching, and managing environmental and humane education programs, and has a passion for creating opportunities for others to connect to their human and natural communities. Katie possesses a graduate certificate in environmental education and a Masters in Education from the University of Washington. In her free time, Katie enjoys running, gardening, and teaching her dog new tricks.
